shared variable from main to subreport problems

I have a main report that has a shared variable. The main report is broken into weekly groups. The shared variable is different from week to week in the main report. The subreport is also broken into weekly data.

Now if I use the shared variable in the subreport all my weeks have the same number. How do I avoid this? Each week should reflect the shared variable data associated with that specific weekly date. Thanks for any help.

You need to share the contents of your formulas and indicate the specific places or sections where they are located. You should also describe your overall report structure--what the groups are, where the subreport is located, and how it is linked to the main report.
