Shared Tasks question

I have checked around for this and it does not seem to work correctly.

I have seen where folks have suggested to create an Issues List, so the recipients get e-mail notification.. Well, that is just one of the problems.

The issues as I see it are:
[ul][li]Tasks are not shared in SharePoint[/li]
[li]e-Mail Notification to the recipients for new tasks[/li]
[/ul]
Any updates or any way to get around this?
