I am trying to get 3 SSA/R -I on 2 more 4406Ds to work. In Central Programming the Ext shows the buttons there. But, when called the set does not ring and the call can't be picked up. The numbers to be shared are DIDs and I am wanting to share them on non DID extensions. Is that the problem?
Example:
3011, 3012, 3013 are the extensions wanting to ring in another room.

3220 is a SSA set for the three numbers above on buttons 4, 5, 6 on a 4406D - this works!

7211, 7212 programmed the same as 3220 but won't work.

Any ideas out there.

Is your switch a Magix or Legend and what software version?

Also would you post a printout of the Primary station and the ones that won't work. This way we can offer better solutions when we see the configurations.

DID or non-DID is not a problem with SSA.

The difference I see is this:

3220 is sharing the 2nd SA Buttons of the sets, 7211 is sharing the 1st SA Buttons of these sets.

Perhaps that is the problem.

When you have multiple SSA buttons for a given station the calls hunt in a linear fashion. So unless SSA 3123/01 is in use, the SSA 3123/02 will never ring because the switch always starts at the beginning of the SAs on the primary phone where 3123 is resident.

You might explain what your your application is. Otherwise when using SSA line appearances, you need to put ALL appearances on each set that needs that station unless you are trying to use this in a different way. But you need to understand the Legend logic in how this feature works and the 'gotchas'. Get a copy of the Features document for the Legend from Avaya's website. It contains a good description of the SSA feature and ineractions and limitations.

Hope this helps!

Merlinman,
You are the MAN! I thought that the 01-10 was the number of sets that the SSA could appear on, not the button of the SA-voice. Thanks to all who gave info on this. Case Closed.
