is somebody can tell me what is a shared port, and purpose of that, i saw some shared ports on extreme switches,
and i dont have any idea about that ports.

Shared ports are always Gigabit ports and have two possible connectors - the built-in 10/100/1000 Copper port or an SFP port. Typically the lower end switches will have these. For example on a 24-port switch ports 1-20 are 10/100/1000 copper ports but ports 21-24 could be shared ports where each port has a 10/100/1000 copper port or an SFP slot. You can't use both on the shared ports.
