Link the Parameter in the Main report to the table.field in the subreport.

In Cr8.5 you have the tiniest scroll box in computer history.
On the subreport link form, after you have linked the parameter in the main report to the subreport, you will see the parameter name it wants to create in the subreport (in the box on the bottom left of the form). If you look carefully you will see scroll bars on the field to select an existing parameter in the subreport.
