how to set correct shared memory on SUN box for Oracle 8.
we were trying to install Oracle 8.0.5 on Solaris 2.7, but got error
27133, unable to attach shared memory segment. how to set permission on shared momory. we set different value on /etc/system and init.ora file. but no luck....thanks

The "Installation & Configuration Guide" (ICG) has the correct settings. It's not a size issue; there are very specific Solaris errors in the event that Oracle is requesting too much SHM space. Use the Oracle Support "MetaLink" site to monitor new developments on your TAR...
