We have two leads in our call center that management wants to be able to receive a hotline DN. They have a primary and secondary extension and this is a two line phone. When I add a third DN it won't associate to the device unless I unassociate on of the existing dn's. Supposedly this shared appearance rang on their phones before and would come in on one of their existing dn's. I am having no luck. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Are the shared DN's the same on each phone? It sounds like there is a translations pattern that is built to send the calls to one of the two numbers.

Yes, there are about 10 phones in the call center that receive this hotline...it is 7751. The other 8 phones do not have an issue because they are 6 line phones. It is only the two lines phone that have the issue. Is it possible two have the two phones in a hunt group and then route the 7751 hotline to that huntgroup? I cut my teeth on Nortel Meridian 1 and Symposium so this call manager is a new animal to me.

What version CallManager are you running? There are a couple ways to do this depending on the CCM versions.

This may be a little complicated but it should work.
Create a new Partition called something like CC_7751_PT. Then create a Line Group that contains the 7751 line on the call center phones and a DN from each of the Call Center leads phones with a Distribution algorithm of Broadcast. Build a Hunt List that contains the Line Group you just created. Build a Hunt Pilot of 7751 in the CC_7751_PT and put the Hunt List you just created in it.
In your Gateway's Calling Search Space, add the CC_7751_PT ABOVE the Partition that contains the Call Center's 7751 number.
What will happen is an incoming call on the Gateway to 7751 will 'see' the CC_7751_PT first and route the call to the Hunt Pilot you created sending the caller to the Hunt List and finally to the Line Group that will ring all the 7751 phones AND the DN's on the Lead people's phones.
If someone Internally calls 7751, it won't ring the Leads phones. You would have to add the CC_7751_PT to everyone's CSS like you did in the Gateway's CSS.
