Hey!

Planning to get a shared internet access using BT Connect Lite (Anyone have any experience? Ment for small businesses) and planning to route it through the network (My Win2k Server).

I think I know how to get the actuall internet access working, but what about email? I think there will just be the one email address (sales@timbertradinguk.co.uk or something) most prob running Pop3/smtp. How does it work? Do the clients look at my server for the latest email, or do they look at the BT Server? And what happens if workstation A reads a email, what happens to workstation B, can he see it?

Cheers. Steve Hewitt

if you install POP3/SMTP software on your server, and let it connect to the mailserver on the internet to send & receive mails, then you can connect your clients to your local server.
You can also let your clients connect to the real POP3 server on the internet, and there is an option in Outlook Express not to delete the read mails from the server, so everybody will be able to read them... Peter Van Eeckhoutte
