Shared homes in a different samba server.

Hello,
I have a pdc with shared homes and roaming profiles. I would like to put the homes share in openfiler (a samba/san appliance).

Is it possible? I am asking because I am failing to do it.

how clients see current "shared homes and roaming profiles" ?

Do they see them under a UNC \\server\share\...
or under a network device (Z:\%username%.... ) ?

Build a Samba/Nas thing and map a path for each user,
not for homes or profiles, for now. Say them to
put data to backup or other. Ensure that users
can read/write on it according what you want.

When you are confident with this object, just for a group
of users, migrate homes/profile (using robocopy) data
and modify user profile in your AD, changing
HOMES and Profile from old to new location.

If you survive, extend to all.
