Shared Group Calendar

Is there a way in which to create a shared calendar and limit who can create reminders, who can create appointments in it, etc.
My users are requesting a calendar that everyone can see but they would only like a selct few be able to create meetings in it. Then only a select few to put reminders in it. The people who are creating reminders cannot create meetings. Is this possible? Thanks.

Possible ? Of course it is - if you write it.
The C&S functionality included in Notes is public and anyone can make a reservation or create a reminder.
It was made like that and there is no easy way of "tweaking" it.
Better to just create an internal C&S application where you can set the rules your way.
Maybe there is a 3rd-party app already written, but I do not know of one yet.
