Hi. I have set up a shared folder and for some reason, even when there are no new messages in the folder, it is showing an envelope next to it as if there are new messages in the folder. Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks.

Try the following steps (taken from TID10053566):

1. Move all message from the shared folder to a temporary holding folder

2. Highlight the shared folder, hit the delete key and select "Items only" (NOTE: upon hitting the delete key, the information dialog that came up, indicated that there was one item in the folder. This item (or ghost item) was not visible.) The user selected to delte "Items only" and the envelope went away.

3. The user then dragged the origional un-opened items back into the shared folder.

Hope this helps!

I saw this TID on Novell's site. My folder is empty. I still tried the delete --> items only but it didn't work. Thanks anyway, any other suggestions?

The envelope goes away sometimes but when a new message arrives, it takes too long to go away after the message has been read. Thanks.

After reading the message in the new folder, hit f5. This with GW6 always clears the mail. It will updtae on its own eventually but I've noticed with GW6 it does it so much quicker. Lee Smith
