Please help.

I am running SBS 2011 and have been successfully using RWA since installation. However, I am having difficulty with a new shared folder that will not appear when accessing remotely. I have tried configuring the shared folder through the SBS standard console, tried sharing it directly through windows explorer, it is on the same drive as other folders that are visible and I've even tried share and security permissions as full access to the everyone group. The folder always appears when access it from the network, just not remotely.

Any ideas?

TIA

I haven't figured out why this is happening, but I have found a solution.

If you create the share from a command prompt (admin mode) using net share, then it appears as you would expect.

I must admit that so far, I do NOT like the poxy SBS Standard Console. It seems to consistently fail at what should be basic tasks. Moreover, if you use the MMC with appropriate snap-ins to administer the server, SBS Console doesn't pick up the changes!

If you complete tasks as you would with Server 2008 not all changes show up in the console. Seems like some tasks should only be performed with the console otherwise you'll have to do some tweaking to get them to show up.
