Hey all
i have a workbook that i share ro allow other users to make changes. The other users leave the file open to view and edit as required.

What i noticed was this file grows in size considerably e.g. it starts off at 192Kb but after an hour it grows in size to 5Mb and continues this exponential growth through the day.

The volume of data doesnt change, except some columns get data added to them (no rows or worksheets gets added).

Has anyone experienced this?

Thanks guys

Yes, a typical manifestation.

Unshare it and the size drastically decreases.

Hi Skip
Yeah thats what i found how to fix it. Not ideal, anyway round this or what causes it?

...anyway round this or what causes it?

The guy went to see the doctor.

The doctor asked, "What's the problem?"

The guy responded, "Every time I hit my head with the hammer, my head hurts."

To which the doctor replied, "Stop hitting your head with a hammer, and this consultation will cost you $100!"

What causes it is that a history is maintained of profile/changes made by each individual.

lol ok so is there anyway to stop hitting myself with a hammer/stop a history being maintained?

You could play around with your settings in the Advanced Tab of Share Workbook.
