Shared calendar custom views not working correctly

We have an AD user who has its calendar shared among several people. We created a custom view, given it 'Day/Week/Month' as the type of view, selected 'This folder, visible to everyone', and set the filter to show only a specific Category. But it keeps reverting the 'Can Be Used On' to 'This folder'.

This did work previously but after making a change (to the category filter) it now does this.

Any ideas why?
