Shared calander in Exchange 2003

I need to create a shared calander that a dept has access to , can this be done?

Yes. Public Folders, Right click, new folder. Type = Calendar. Properties, permissions, set the permissions as appropriate.

 

[Argetlam]

The public folders solution is probably best, but another way is to set up another account, have the dept connect to it with the additional mailbox function.
This of course after setting the appropriate permissions.
