Shared borders keep disappearing

I have a footer (which is a shared border) placed on numerous web pages on XYZ's Intranet website. Every so often when I come in to work in the mornings the footers will be gone.
I usually know when I'll be the one who has deleted the footers 'cause it takes a few minutes for FrontPage 2000 to save the pages if the shared borders were messed with.
I was wondering if this was a backend situation where the server has something to do with this?
Can somebody please shed light on this issue? Thnkx in advance.

I think this must be a bug in FrontPage because I've had the same problem! Sometimes I don't even need to do anything in the shared borders--all I have to do is work on the Web page. My solution has been to make a back up of the borders specifically and save it elsewhere. That way, when they disappear, I can just copy them over the ones that disappeared.

Hi, Linda.
I'm with you on this one. I just have to work on the page and *poof* the footer is gone (of course I don't notice it until the next day).
I can't seem to get Microsoft to answer my question for me.
