We did a recovery of a whole partition on a Windows NT client that had permission on folders and shares. We used saveset recovery method. After recovery the folders permission were there but shares and share permission were lost. We use Networker 6.2 both server and client. Is there another recovery step to bring back the shares and their permission?

Thanks,

Hi,

Windows shares configuration is stored in registry, not on filesystem. Registry records for shares and its permissions you can find here :

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\Shares

So way is to restore registry...
