Right, Hello....

We have an invoice database built in access and we want a way for both me and my partner to use it.

I know I can split the database. But not sure what to do next.

Would like a cheap way or free way if possible.

Thanks for your time.

Kind Regards
Bill

A little more info, please. Do you and your partner sit next to each other? On different floors? different buildings?
Are both of you on a network? INTRAnet or INTERnet?
Depending on your answers, you'll get different solutions.

Sorry didnt say about that.

We both work at different offices over the internet.

Kind Regards
Bill

If you live near each other, you can create a "replica" and then, on some timely manner, sync them. Any Access book can show you how to do that.
Or you can create data access pages (DAP's) or write ASP code. Lot of time even for good programmers.
Or you can set up a citrix server ( which would allow the remote usr to have direct access to the database. No coding needed then.
If you do a search of this forum, or any of the Access forums, you find quite a few discussions on the pros and cons of the above suggestions.

Good question and answer from fneily...
