A friend told me about this site and said that you guys might be able to help. I know enough about computers to fumble my way through things. I am an architect and not a programmer so I do not have the technical vocabulary to explain things very clearly but I will try.

At our office we have an I Mac running os x 10.4.11 (with all the latest up dates) Its ethernet card got smoked in an electrical storm a few months ago. So, we have been using the built-in Airport to get network and internet access on it from the other I Mac running Leopard that we have here in the office. Well, now the I Mac that we were getting the internet form has to run windows xp from Boot Camp leaving the other I Mac without Internet access. Is it possible to set up the built-in Airport internet sharing while in XP (via boot camp)? The computer that is going to access it is going to be running os x, but it desperately needs internet access. We have no Idea of how to do this or if it is even possible.

If you need more information just ask. I will do my best to reply as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

You can still set up a Ad-Hoc network to share the network, but I don't have all the info, but yes, it should be possible

So if you running Windows on the machine with the Internet connection, you will need to set up Internet Connection Sharing in Windows on that machine. Then the other iMac should be able to connect to it via wireless.

You may want to check out Windows XP help on how to set this up. I think it is fairly straightforward and there is a wizard to walk you through the steps.
