share files on Windows 2000 server

Hello when a Windows XP station opens a file on the server save and close after the other stations that try to open the file can't open it unless we restart the windowsXP station. The server is Windows 2000 server

Same problem here.
client with 7 xp pro stations connected to a 2000 server.
after using lotus or excel file and exiting, next user cannot open file.
Please help!

Hello, I noticed that it was necessary to start again the station that had used the file the last to have access to the file.



I have the impression that the problem comes from the last service pack.

Installed Service pack 3 on server and XP1 on workstations.
I did not choose archive during install to save time.
