Sorry, the query "share esxi datastore" produced no results.
A quick search didn't reveal anything...

I have two IBM blades in a BladeCenter S chassis. Both blades have an onboard hard drive. On blade1 I have a bunch of ISO's stored for use. I'm now ready to start building VMs on blade2. Can I share the datastore on blade1 so blade2 can access it?

I do have a bunch of other shared storage that I would prefer to not put the ISOs on, I'd like to keep them on the internal HD instead of the shared storage.

Thanks!

You would need a storage blade to be able to share between the two servers. Added to that you would need to present that storage blade out as an iSCSI share from an initiator (ie a Windows server running the initiator and both servers having been configured to use it or a dedicated hardware iSCSI initiator).

Generally speaking it's not that difficult to set up, would probably take no more than an hour but that's the way I would do it.

The real world is not about exam scores, it's about ability.

Well, we already have a shared storage array, I was hoping to share the blade's internal hard drive. I guess I'll have to break down and just put the iso's on the shared storage.
