hello
i want to know how to share dialup connection between windowsxp host and linux 7.2 guest os in vmware
thanks.

Does the Windows use DHCP or Fixed IP to conenct to Internet ?

Use bridged connection if you want to give linux a deffirent IP from the Windows IP, and Nat if you want that linux and windows have the same IP.

see newsgroup at for more info

It shouldn't make any difference what the Windows host is doing as long as you set up the VMWare to bridge the network.
You then configure the Linux VM to get its IP address from a DHCP server. The Linux machine should see its NIC as an AMD PCNEt card (I think but not 100% sure).
