Could you guys tell me, how can I make the "show shape text" option available on a new edited shape (by myself).
I couldn't found the way to do that. When I right-click on the shape this option isn't in the list.
here is the problem:
I've a stencil which is not a cad draw but a picture of a server-rear-view. I'd like to assign a shape text to this picture, but I don't know how. If you right-click on a stencil there'll appear a drop-down menu and the 1st item of this menu is the show/hide shape text. In my case this item doesn't appear so I can't turn it on/off and I can't make this shape text appear/disappear.
All shapes have shape text. When shapes are grouped, the new shape has shape text for each component shape and the group shape. Shape text has a cell that determines if the shape text is visible. Say you are designing a floorplan, the dimensions would be shape text. By putting a formula in the HideText Cell, the user can turn on or off the dimensions by changing a custom property (now called shape data).
There are several ways of doing this, but they all revolve around changing the value of the HideText cell.
1) You can add a custom proerty with a boolean value and then use the custom property in the HideText cell.
2) You can create an action which will do something similar. This is probably what you are seeing when you right click. There is more information here:
