Listened to Shakespeare's latest this morning. If you can, listen to it rather than just reading it. My laughing turned me into a serious driving hazard this morning, but hopefully other drivers just blamed it on the new snow and didn't call me in...

I love NPR.
Never really listened to it until about a month ago, there was nothing good playing on the radio. By chance it paused at the local NPR station. Listened to it a bit and decided I enjoy it.

Every since then every day for the drive home, its NPR all the way. I feel more connected to the world since then.

Does this mean that The Bard had one big posterior, or that he just fell in and felt flushed?

Pretty good, but the wrong sport. Shakespeare did occasionally write about cricket - as this line from Henry V proves
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips
Wow! My ignorance of cricket is greater than I imagined.... I had no idea that the use of dogs was involved. Do they fetch that little ball for you?

ChrisHunt - lovely pun! So much of Shakespeare's imagery is brilliant, but this particular one is amongst my favourites.

Having 'borrowed' one of my dad's proper racing greyhounds to go to a flapping meeting (without his knowledge or consent) I had the enormous pleasure and thrill of literally holding a 'greyhound in the slips' and that Shakespeare imagery was then absolutely clear and vivid, as it would have been to most of his contemporaries. Certainly one of my memorable experiences!
