We are using Citrix Presentation Server 4.5. I have web clients logging into to a published application via the internet. I have found out how to shadow these sessions right from the server using the Shadow toolbar. However, is there a way to shadow these sessions from a client computer on our Network. I have been told of an app called Citrix Session Monitor but can't find much information on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Shane

smarksfrcb,
You can shadow any session in your farm via the Citrix management console or the Access Suite.
You just have to find the name of the user that is connected to your Citrix farm and you should be able to right click on hit Shadow.

You should be able to shadow them from anywhere. thats the point of having Citrix :)

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for your response. Does this have to be done on the server...or can it be done from any client on the network? Is there an install needed?

Thanks
Shane

smarksfrcb,
I would simply publish out the Access Suite or the Citrix management Console.
That way your users can connect to it via Web Interface and you don't need to install or configure anything on their end.

They can simply launch the application and then query for the end-user and shadow them.

I've done this with the Shadow Application and the Citrix managment Console. I didn't like the Shadow application as much cause sometimes it doesn't pick up all the users logged in.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much for your response...however...publishing the console is not an option. Are you able to tell me the application you are referring to?

Thanks
Shane

You can install the Management Consoles on your local computer. It's all on the installation CD. When you start the CD, select Product installation and then Management Consoles. This will only install Access Management Suite and the PSC. Then you'll be able to start it from the local computer.

But I agree with Enigma99, it would be best to Publish the ASM
