My Photosmart 7660 produces nearly perfect color pictures except for one thing: the color transition in the shadow areas are very choppy and often show either green or orange hues. I am printing on HP premium plus glossy paper in high resolution (300 ppi). I tried sRGB and Adobe 1998 color schemes: same result. I also visited the HP site and made sure I was up to date on all the drivers and updates. I am printing using Photoshop un WinXP SP2. Same digital file sent to a lab for printing comes out OK. Anyone can help me figure out how to get smooth shadows in my color prints?
