I want change the location of the shadow copies on a volume from the current disk to another disk. If I change the location it deletes all of the shadow copies that were created. I’ve been told I can backup the shadow copies and move them. Where are they and how do I move them?

The shadow copies will be deleted when you change/move to a new drive. There is no way that I know of to save/transfer these files.
You can COPY your DATA to the new drive and allow Shadow Copy to start making changes to build up new info, while the old data remains on the old drive until you feel comfortable in deleting it.
