Hello

I am trying to create a simple image (like a bar), about one-quarter of an inch thick and 5" or 6" long. I know how to do this and how to colour (fill) it.

But I would like the colour to be shaded a bit (perhaps from the bottom upwards), so that the colour doesn't look all uniform.

Is there a tutorial anywhere I could look at?

Many thanks.

Steve

Hi SteveHigh,
Try "Inner Shadow" layer style

Great, helpful replies. Many thanks.

you can also go filter/render/lighting effects. Use full to create a specific source of light.

Also use gradient, but doing it illustrator is better cause its on the fly.
