Whenever I type this command into a Cisco 2501 router it only displays the cache for E0 and it does not show anything for the Serial port. I have checked other routers and they all have entries for the Serial port. Does anyone know what would cause this?

THanks,
Jeremy

Hi jeremy,

You will need to go into the config for each Interface and enable IP ROUTE CACHE. It is likele this have been enabled for all the interfaces for the other routers - or it is enabled by default for such routers.

So, for this problem routr, just go to each interface config and enter

ip route-cache policy
ip route-cache flow

Then go and do SH IP CACHE again. It should give u all the results.

Regards,
Reuben.

This router is running IOS 10.3 and I do not think it supports those commands, do you have nay other suggestions other than loading new IOS?

Thanks,
Jeremy
