Hi,
Currently we have our database running on rack with only 1 instance. Our server both have 2 CPU & 8G Memory. We want to create many instances using this rack so we can cntol the instances.
My question is how can I configure at kernel parameter SHMMAX,SEMMNS,SEMMNI,SEMMNU & SHMSEG to fit our database requirement? and How can calculate the SGA size for the instances (shared pool,db_blocl_size,db_block_buffers , log_buffers and etc). Let say we want to create 10 instances in the rack, is it enough to cater to our environment. Please advise .

thanks & regards
