Hi,

This is more of a data problem, but I hope someone has encountered a problem similar to this. We have a customer who is trunking two IP Offices together via IP over an SG-200 and a SG-5X. There are two locations Davis (IPO 403) and Gilroy (IPO SOHO), Davis is DSL 1.5 down/128 up and Gilroy is 1.5 down/384 up. The Gatekeeper settings in the IP office have been double checked (DSCP of 46) .

The problem is when ever someone uploads a file, the phone calls turns to crap. It appears that there is no prioritization. What's weird is that when someone from Gilroy site transfers a file across the network to Davis site, the voice quality is poor on Davis side and clear on Gilroy site and vice versa. Hope that makes sense. Has any one encountered a problem like that before?

I do have a tunnel setup between the SG200 and SG5x. I have the bandwidth allocation set at 50% and I still do not have priority for the voice and the DSCP set at 46,34. I know the problem lies on the SGs. I was wondering if anyone has configured the SGs with the IPO can help me out. Does anyone know where I can get help on the SGs? Any forums or websites. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have had the same problem with a leased Digital data circuit however this was between an IPO and ACM.

I used Ethereal sniffer to solve the problem this will show you down to packet level what the Diff serve header setting is on the incoming and outgoing packets.

I would suspect one of you routers isn't working with diff serve.
