SFTP conenction disconnects during large file transfer

Hello,

We have been having a problem when recieving a large file (7GB) over SFTP. The connection times out and when the remote program attempts to upload the file again they have to start over and they disconnect again. To eliminate our network I set up a SFTP server outside our firewall and we still have the same issue. I am running Global Scape secure server inside the network and outside the network. What does seem to work with out an issue is transfering the file over SSL. Does anybody have any idea as to why the SFTP connection loses connection?

The problem you have is on the ftp server you are tranferring files too. You need to ask them to up the connection timeout limit with in the software they are running. I am working on something similar at the moment, but only writing the scripts and geting help from the our operations teams on this. Hope this helps.
