My data guys came up with a Virtual solution that's hosted somewhere.
The solution uses Webmin.
Overall it's a decent setup, but it has it's issues...
1 - Mitel Standard Linux products like MiCollab and MBG will only back up if that system is running release 11.
It's been discovered that the MSL must be running Kernel 3.0 or higher.
2 - MiVoice Business 9 and above platforms won't back up. They're running Wind River Linux - Kernel 4 and above.
The old ESM FTP backups still work (both FTP and SFTP), and such backups are still available in MiVB 9. However, I'm told by support that the backups should be done through the MSL Server-Manager and not through the ESM.
I can get these backups to work to another MSL. And in some cases have that MSL back itself up to the Webmin server.
Does anyone use this Webmin service? We have a lot of time invested into this already and would like to make it work with 100% of our clients. I'd rather not change to another solution again.
