Sevice Code question

Is there a way to set up a A/R service code so that you can change it's description when a service code item is added to an order?

Using version 7.6.100a

You change the description of a Service Code at order entry time the same way you chnge the description of an item - the F2 key. This is available when you tab off of the item no field on the second page of the order entry screen.

Thanks dgillz. After seeing your message I tried again and the F2 works, but only when you're in the Unit Cost field. Is this the way it should be?

In my case I was in the Location field, but it must be available after you have tabbed out of the part number field, which is how the descriptionget populated initially.

If you look at the bottom of the Order Entry screen, it tells you what your valid options are:

F2=Item Description; Search(f7), Note (F8)

These values change every time you tab to a new field. This is not unique to the Order Entry screen, this is how Macola works.
