We are getting the following error from the Deferred Processor while it is waiting for the start time of the next job.

COM ERROR: Error
Code = 0x80040E31
Code Meaning = IDispatch error #3121
Source = Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server
Description = Timout Expired

MSL Description: MacMSS.dll failed to obtain a connection to
server: sqlserver name
database: database name
while querying for LCID

We are running Macola version 7.6.300. We are running the deferred processor on a Windows 2000 box and the CPU untilization is 100% when the deferred processor is waiting for the next run time. I saw a reference to this in thread639-778528 from 2004.

Does anyone have any new information regarding the 100% utilization, or is anyone else getting the Severe COM/ADO error?

As a test on one workstation, go into the Client Network Utility and remove TCP/IP and enable Named Pipes.

On the SQL server, make sure that Named Pipes and TCP/IP are enabled in the Server Network Utility.
