Hi,

we have 3COM SuperStack3 Switch 4200.
we tried following: to make VLAN 2, to put Station2 to VLAN2, Station1 to VLAN1 and VLAN2, and to leave all other stations in VLAN1.
The purpose is that the Station1 should communicate to everyone, but no one should approach to the Station2.
IS THIS POSSIBLE WITH THIS KIND OF SWITCHES?

For the begining we tried to configure it at the first Switch where stations 1 and 2 are attached. We tried all the options for tagging Station1 (to be tagged in both VLANs, to be tagged only in VLAN1 or only in VLAN2...we even tried to put Station2 tagged) but never was Station1 able to communicate with everyone.
Example: Station1 tagged in VLAN1
Station1 untagged in VLAN2
Station2 untagged in VLAN2
Other stations untagged in VLAN1
Result in this case is that VLAN1 can not communicate with VLAN2 what is OK, Station1 is able to communicate with Station2 but not with VLAN1. WHAT WE DID WRONG? Is it because inter-switch connection is not set on tagged?

Sorry for not being brief and thanks in advance for any answer!
