Hi all,

How can I make several reports from the same query?

Most of my reports are based on the same query so I've been copying the Query and renaming it and then building my reports from the copied query.

Some of my reports are based on parameters at run time, others are not.

Any good (mostly simple) ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi

1) if the reports are based on the same query with same criteria, just use them as they are, ther eis no need to copy them, you are just creating a maintenance nightmare

2), to vary critiera at run time use a form to allow used to input the variable data (eg Date fromor whatever) and in the query, instead of using criteria such as [Start Date], use the form control with syntax like Forms!MyFormName!StartDate, on the form put a button to launch the report
