Hi everyone

Since the las two weeks I have been having several problems in my Exchange and sending emails.

1. In my exchange server when I check the queues part I see manny folders which I did not see before. I see that for gmail.com I have 1,000 emails, sometimes they are in yahoo.com or info.com.

2. When I send an email for example to my account in gmail or other contacts I get two messages from the system administrator that the messages where not deliver.

Her are the messges that I get:

Our system has detected an unusual rate of>

Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

Can any one help me out.

Thanks 58sniper

I have lowed the emails in the queue, and right now I could send emails. But to some domains when I send an email I see that they are on wueue and on retry.

but to some other domains when I send an email I get a message that it was not deliver do to the reason:

There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.

ok, you don't have an SPF record then. Ask your domain name registrar / holder / admin to create an SPF record for you which should help anyway whether it is related to the issue or not.

OK thanks.

Now the problem that I have with some domains that when I send a message to then I get a return mail that says:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

So you should have your ISP fix that. It should point to a valid DNS record for your domain name. My recommendation is to make it match what your MX record name is. For example:

MX record is mail.contoso.com
Have the reverse DNS set to mail.contoso.com, not dsl-201-.....

And if you telnet into your server from the outside, over port 25, the domain name in the banner should be the same as those configured above (so maybe "exchange1.contoso.com" or even "mail.contoso.com"). You want consistency. When they don't match, and worse, when the domain name itself isn't the same, that can count against you in a spam score.

Resolving these can take time, and once they're resolved, receiving systems might not automatically start accepting mail.

Thnaks for the help, let me look into that.

A lot of ISPs won't let you do it on a DSL line but certainly that's the essence of the problem.
