Setup Vmware in Text mode

Attempting to install VMware v2.01 ESX server on W2k server in text mode. Screen locks up and goes no further after the following info scrolls on the command window:

Using local APIC timer interrupts.
Calibrating APIC timer...
.....CPU clock speed is 1594.7398 Mhz
.....host bus clock speed is 0.0000 Mhz
CPU: 0, clocks:0, slice:0

Have you verified that the machine you are installing ESX server on is supported. THere are only spedific servers you can use check the vmware web site

I had to select No APIC in order to run the setup.
