Hello everyone,

We are having problems getting clear instructions and guidance on setting up a merge replication sync. Our setup is as follows:

Server 1: DB Server
MS SQL 2008 R2 Full

Server 2: Web Server
IIS 7
Services for application

Remote Sites: Laptops running SQL 2008 R2 Express
IIS installed
Copy of Services for application
DB installed to laptop through deployment package

Our configuration is a little difficult because our remote users move each week to a new location. The locations the teams setup at do not always have internet and many of the other locations do not have reliable internet.

The team sets up a LAN and the "master" computer contains the services, DB and other required programs that allow the users on the network to use our software without access to the internet.

We need to setup merge replication within SQL that will allow the remote sites to download the new information from the server and transfer the new/updated information from their local express instance.

We are confident that merge replication will do what we need because the example on MSDN is almost our setup to a "T".

Any help would be appreciated, we are running out of time on this project and this is one of the last few barriers’ we have to breakdown.
