Setup SMTP Connectors for cross Org migration

I need to setup connectors and possibly a routing group to allow email to be delivered to migrated mailboxes and also to allow those to send mail. That is use current exchange to allow mail to be delivered to new exchange server and allow new exchange server to send mail through current, until migration is complete. the new exchange will be in new domain, but the smtp address will not change for users.
Current (domain1.com, email=%g.%s@abc.com)
New (domainNew.com, email=%g.%s@abc.com)
