We have a need to use Putty to pull call logs off a Mitel 3300 MXe with MCD4.
I've never done this before, but our salesman has promised that we could do and it and he had done it before with putty, although the output was a bit scruffy.

Can anyone give me any pointers on how to setup Putty to grab the info and output to a file?

First off the controller has to be configured to output SMDR records.

From that point it will store up to 20,000 call records.

Any telnet program connecting to the controller on port 1573 will get streaming data.

Be aware, the data is purged as it is delivered. If you do not set up the program to capture, it is gone.

Cheers,I'd already got it sorted. I've got Putty to attach on RAW port 1752 and dump it out to a file, its a bit scruffy but the info's all there.

Cheers.

Where did 1573 come from? I've got to work on my typing skills.

on a 3300 the 1572 is the smdr port on a 200 31823 is the object of your affection

NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED!

the command:

logs read smdr all

can retrieve the smdr not captured live

also useful to test if anything comes from the system
