So everyone who posted so far don't know anything about enabling IIS with Server side include pages i take it thanks for the posts. issue resolved.
 
I have used server side includes in ASP scripts running on IIS.

Basically you put some repeated code, perhaps a function for sending email, or perhaps an HTML header, or somethng like that.... anyway you put it in a file.

Then in the ASP you put the server side include directive... something like this:
[tt]<!--#include file="header.asp"-->[/tt]

OK, so now before the ASP engine processes the logic in your page, the server will go and pull that included file and process the ASP as if the included file was part of the same ASP.

Hope that makes sense.
