I am working on setting up a small business for a friend. They have a server 2008 that runs their main application. The server itself only has one NIC. Is it possible anyway with RRAS to setup the server for external access via an external IP address provided by their internet provider? I know we can do it with a router and NAT, but at the moment they do not have a router with that capability and they don't want to make any changes since they will be moving in the near future. So if anyone can point me to a way to setup a Server 2008 for external access that would be great.

OK so assuming I can get a firewall in place. Can I then setup RRAS for external access with only 1 NIC?

If its a SBS server set up Remote Web Workplace.

Get a firewall at that Site ASAP.

You can also look at the Netgear FVS336G that lets them VPN in over SSL.
