when I try to add a system dsn using a sql server driver I get the "setup routines for the sql server odbc driver could not be accessed" error.
there is a closed thread #706-1366368 which covers this exact problem but applies to a machine at level service pack 2 and I have installed service pack 3. The solution suggested a Microsoft knowledgebase article which gave instructions to reinstall Mdac.inf but another article I read said that mdac install doesn't work on a WIN XP SP3 machine and when I tried to install it I got the same setup routines for the sql server .....
the odbccp32.dll and .rll files are in the system32 folder and in the registry as well.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.
