I'm new to Premiere so bare with me! I installed Premiere in 98SE/NT4.0 dual boot machine ok. I can use Premiere to edit ok in both 98SE and NT4.0(I need NT because of dual cpu's and 2000 Pro or XP Pro are not an option at this time).
I have a MotoDV(Digital Origin) firewire card and software that will capture DV from my Canon ZR DV camcorder ok.
MotoDV has a plugin to Premiere so that when I goto setup a new project I can see my MotoDV firewire card. However, when I select any of the MotoDV presets during a new project setup("NTSC MotoDV 720 x 480, etc.,." it says "preset requires Quicktime, Quicktime not installed" and if I continue it will close setup(Quicktime is installed but it seems Premiere cannot find it).
I could just capture with MotoDV, save to a file on my hard drive, open Premiere, goto the BIN file and proceed with my edit but I would like to do it all from within Premiere.
I also have setup TMPGEnc as a "video server" in Premiere so that I can go directly from edit to encoding to mpeg-2 for DVD authoring without leaving Premiere so as you can see I would really like to solve my MotoDV/Quicktime problem, any ideas anyone?
Regards,
Jay
