Hi,

My merlin legend has 3 operator phone programmed. It was originally programmed like that to provide coverage for receptionist breaks etc. We recently added voicemail with AutoAttendant (COS 15) on the main reception phone. The problem comes up where the voicemail picks up on the other extensions instead of the AA.

I'm thinking to program the non-receptionist phones to have 2-3 buttons capable of ringing and picking up the incoming trunk line or the equivelant.

1) I am unsure of how to do this correctly
2) I am unsure this is the best solution

Any help would be appreciated.

Bill

The answer is:

Assign the LINES to a CALLING GROUP.

IN VOICE MAIL - Assign COS 15 to the CALLING GROUP.

Set the CALLING GROUP to OVERFLOW to VOICE MAIL.

Set Number of Calls to 99,
Set Time to 1 to make it go NOW, or 25 to make it wait for 25 seconds.

Hi Merlinman,

I'm putting the receptionist and 2 additional peoples stations into the calling group not the incoming lines, right?

How will this affect the regular mailboxes for the 2 additional people?

Thanks,

Bill
