setup not saving....

I've setup numerous ODBC connections to MS SQL server 7.0's but I have come across one error that I cannot figure out. I setup a new ODBC connection, go through the testing process and it tests fine. However, when I click "OK" to finish, it doesn't save it. Has anyone heard of such or had any experience with it? It's the weirdest thing.
