Should I set static mac addresses on my switch to increase bandwidth and reduce collissions?

If so, then what command would I type w/ FastEthernet0/8 hhhh.hhhh.hhhh to permanently assign the Ethernet Port as that MAC?

If anything, anyone know of a good resource for this?

Thanks

Question, How would setting static MAC address entries in a switch increase bandwidth and reduce collision's?
The only thing adding static entries would do is eliminate the need for the switch to broadcast the 1st packet destined for a host out all ports. In a stable network, this should only happen once. Todd VanDerwerken, CCNA, CCDA

Not to mention be a administrative nightmare. If you're needing more bandwidth than what you have, you have other issues going on. 100Mb is alot of bandwidth for a single workstation...
