setup intranet site with a user friendly URL 2

I have sharepoint and Spicework on my wsus server the default URLs are not user friendly and I need to change the to another user friendly URL.

Can someone help change the URL from:

http://servername/

to

http://sharepoint

?

and I need help to change the spiceworks URL from

http://servername:port

to

http://spiceworks

Plus, if it's internal use only, use a GPO to push out a favorite to the end users so they don't even have to remember what the URL is.

I agree with 58sniper, if your using WSUS then they must be up to date, why not make it their homepage while you are at it?

And if they do complain add a Google search box to your intranet home page or just a link.
